Pupillam will look at Turlagh, "Ah, this is the Grand Library. It contains most of all public knowledge along with the journals of every member of the Wayward Path. As for what this is about, it's that we found a new opportunity for a grand adventure."
With that Pupillam will begin pacing excitedly.

"Hello again, Pupillam," replies Adris. "How is your scholar doing? I hope he wasn't too traumatized by the events of the other day. Did you ever find out why that camp was attacked or who the attackers were?"
"Anyway, allow me to introduce my companions here: Turlaugh Sweeney, Grobbix, and Tigger Kitteh." He motions toward them. "We've had a few adventures together, and I'm sure they're more than capable of whatever service we're being called upon to provide today. I also noticed several other adventurers milling about in the bookstore. I assume they'll be arriving here momentarily."

From the back of Tigger Kitteh: "Is Grobbix. This Tigger Kitteh."
"Has been here. Is quiet place. Grobbix is have Book. Very good Book." Grobbix pulls out his travelogue from his pouch and puts it back.
(OOC: Grobbix may or may not be known by the Walkers as I doubt there are very many Goblins who have joined the Way and he regularly uses -- and annoys -- other Walkers via the Travelogue.))

Arenia politely nodded to the boy and gave him a little smile before returning to her browsing. She'd had one specific book in mind, suggested by her mother, on some of the history of the area.
Problem was, she couldn't find it.
She double-checked to make sure she was in the history section, and sure enough, it seemed like she was. Well, maybe they just haven't restocked yet, she thought to herself. She figured she'd ask the boy about it...and maybe it'd give her an opportunity to ask about that letter as well.
She located the boy again. "Excuse me, young sir," she said, her voice belying her heritage. "A couple of questions. First, do you have any copies of The Secret History of Rook in the back? And also..." She produced the letter, fully decrypted in her handwriting. "Would you happen to know something about this?"

Char looks up from his book and notices everyone is gone, he figures that he zoned out as he tends to do while reading. Tossing the book onto a nearby pile Char walks through the portal that has shown up while he wasn't paying attention assuming that's where everyone went. Exiting through the other side of the portal Char finds himself surrounded on all sides by books. "This is is so surreal... am I on drugs?" Char spoke to himself as he walked over to the others who were in the middle of their own conversation.
(OOC: Char knows nothing of The Wayward Path and only showed up because of the note and curiosity.)

(Assuming that Donny went through the portal and sees the strange man)
"The names Donny. Donny Switchblade." He then extends his hand

Pupillam will look towards Adris, "Oh, he has been more gloomy than usual but I believe he is getting better. The town was attacked by a group of people that were trying to turn their leader into a half-fiend. They decided to perform the ritual there after murdering all of the people there."
Pupillam will stop pacing and shake Donny's hand, "Nice to meet you, uh, Donny"
The boy will put down his book, "All of the the books that we have here would be on display. But you are here about the letter as well so you might find what you are looking for if you follow me. We also have an interesting adventure opportunity."
He will once again head to the back room, open the portal and gesture for Arenia to walk through.

"Half-fiends!? Where at did you say? You can't trust people willing to twist there body into that of a demon or devil just for more power." Donny then shoves his hands into his leather jacket pockets

"Oh, no no no, Adris here and his group already took care of them. You don't need to worry." Pupillam replies.

Though Grobbix is trying his best to keep quiet and mind his manners in the Grand Library, he has become noticeably fidgety while sitting on the back of Tigger Kitteh.

"Oh, yes! I almost forgot the reason that we called you here. We, the Wayward Path, have made a grand discovery!" Pupillam will say excitedly. "Some of our members found a large unexplored island while sailing."

"An island, you say?" says Adris. "Most interesting. And I suppose you've called us here to explore it? Not my usual line of work, but I wouldn't mind a little time away from the city."

Grobbix perks up. "Grobbix is like exploring! Kitteh too!"

Arenia followed the little boy, curious to at least find out what the letter was about. Sure, she was disappointed about the book, but then again, her father had often said that the fastest way to gain insight on a culture was to dive in headfirst. Maybe discovering their definition of adventure might lead her to a better understanding of the quirks of Rook culture.

When Arenia walks through the portal she will see five people that seem to be adventurers (and a large tiger) talking to a strange masked man. She will also notice that she is standing in a large library.
Pupillam noticed the girl as she stumbled through the portal. "Ah, another one. Good good. Come over here. I was just telling these adventurers about a large island that we have found and we would like volunteers to explore the island."

"Island exploration, you say?" Arenia brushed a stray white hair out from in front of her face. "Always did love exploring." She looked around to the others standing around the library. "Greetings, all. I am Arenia Archos, diplomatic envoy of House Archos."

"Ello Areeenia, how goes it." Turlagh replies, not dismissively, but his mind is clearly on the strange clowns words.
"I still don't really know the whole bit about why we're in a library, or what this Wayward path is, but if you need a scout for this Island of yours, count me in".

"Oh yes, let me explain what our group is. We are the Wayward Path, a group of hobbyist explorers and travelers. We have built this library to contain all of the information that our Walkers collect," Pupillam explains. "Also I would suggest that you join us as it will make communication and your journey easier, but it is not required that you join us to explore The New Island."

"I cannot say I've ever heard of the Wayward Path before," Arenia stated, "but I do admire any group dedicated to seeing knowledge for the sake of others. Such knowledge can only aid me in my mission. I would be honored to aid you."

Turlagh thinks to himself for a bit.
"I ain't ever been much for readin or writin, but I like explorin and I like tellin a good tale. Where do I sign up to be a part of this Walker bidness then? And you promise there's no shadiness about?"

"Well, I'm a soldier, not a scholar," says Adris. "And besides, I've already joined up with the Empyreal Guardians. So once again I must politely decline your invitation. I am interested in finding out more about this island, though... who knows what dangers might be lurking there? I'll lend my shield to your expedition."

After thumbing through a few tomes while eavesdropping on the conversation Char suddenly spoke. "I'm always interested in attaining new knowledge, this would only supplement my current efforts of exploring the world outside Cloud City. So I'm in, am I a Wayward Pathfinder now?"

"Very good!" Pupillam will pull out several journals from his bag and hand them to those who would like to join the Wayward Path. He will also hand each person a small piece of paper that reads: "This book is a record of my travels. I will not falsify the things I've seen and done, though I might exaggerate for the sake of a good story. I won't use this book or the power it gives me to intentionally endanger my fellow Walkers or anyone else, and if I fail in this, let the pages shrivel and die like my worthless honor." Pupillam will speak up again, "That is the oath of the Wayward Path, just say that out loud while holding the blank travelogue and then the travelogues will sign themselves with your name." ((OOC: Here is the mechanical information for joining the Wayward Path: www.d20pfsrd.com/path-of-war/martial-traditions/the-wayward-path ))
