basically since this is a double weapon, it would be used most likely by characters with high enough dex to use 2 weapon fighting feats .
now since that is one step from making a dex build, and when used in close range this weapon is treated as fighting with a kama in each hand(light weapon, slashing). can one use it with the finesse & slashing grace feats?
if so. will the dex for attack & damage be used only in close range or will the reach attack be effected as well?
as this weapon also can be used for tripping and has the trip special weapon property(+2 to trip,which bay raw also goes for repositioning and dragging) and weapon finesse allow for dex to be used with finesse-able weapons for tripping\disarming. will it be used here as well?
(in real life) i had one GM saying the dex for attack and damage is only in close range, and an other who let me use it for all attacks with the weapon.the 2nd one claimed that when you use it as a reach weapon, since it has no rigid shaft but a chain you toss back and forth it is used more like a thrown weapon or a whip then a normal 2 handed weapon that uses brute str to maneuver.and those dex would suit it better anyway.
