Not really about a kingdom exactly but my goal with Marcus is to eventually have him stabilize a section of the slums based around his academy. Right now it's growing into a decent little compound, but as his income rises he's going to continue to expand. The end goal for him is to build a presence of his family's school of combat, and start hiring out students as personal guards and what have you. At what point will growing downtime buildings move from downtime to actual Rook politics? I assume as he starts producing soldiers and guards the city will begin to take notice I'm just not sure at what point that'll be.

This is the kind of thing I see happening with the future influence economy. Basically, once/if it exists, you'd throttle back your gp production to build up influence. That influence would would be the primary way to make large scale changes to the world and get involved with politics. As i'm sure you can image, it's a system just asking to get trolled so I'm not interested in rushing something out. As far as etas, I'm really not sure. I've started trying to delegate a lot of the stuff that I'm doing so that I can begin putting this together to see if its something that is actually doable. edit: as i dont know for sure that this is even going to work, don't start stockpiling influence  |
