i have asked this before and i've gotten a yes, just wanted to make certain it still stands:
normally, potions of lvl3 and below are available at min caster level.
but can one (with appropriate costs) hire a player character to change that?
(as per: " These prerequisites must be met for the item to be created. Most of the time, they take the form of spells that must be known by the item's creator (although access through another magic item or spellcaster is allowed). "
what i mean is something like that:
normally shield of faith potion is CL1 and offers +2def ac for 1min, cost 50gp
character X approaches player Y, a divine caster lvl6. And asks him for help. Then both go down to npc potion maker, and character X pays player Y to aid with the crafting (provide the 1st lvl spell at 6CL or 6*1*10=60gp cost). The potion cost goes up to 6*1*50= 300gp, it now provides +3deflection for 6mins.
so player X, ultimatly pays 60gp to player Y, and 300gp to the npc, to have the potion made at CL6 instead of CL1 (360gp instead of 50)
similary, for p.e. a lvl3 potion with a CL of p.e. 9:
player X pays 270gp to the player providing the spell and 1350 for a CL9 lvl3 potion (total of 1620 instead of 750gp)
and etc
