"What, you think im that uppity paladin?" the moustached brute unceremoniously brings his heel down on the poor mans foot. You hear a sickeningly crack and the mans eyes widen in pain as he tries to scream against the gag.
"Now when she removes this gag for a question, if you try to make a sound that isn't telling us what we want to know quietly, I'll break more than just a foot."
He steps back, and lets naya get to work.

Nodding to Jotunn, Naya opens up one of the drawers of her desk, and pulls out a long thin blade. Swallowing her revulsion, she smiles, and gently runs the tip of the blade along the man's neck. "Now then... I'm going to remove the gag, then we're going to have a chat. Understood?" The man narrows his eyes in defiance.
Naya glances down at the man's foot, "by the way you're attempting to take pressure of the ankle, I'd guess that's a hairline fracture of the Talus. Treatable, but," she smiles again, and lies through her teeth, "any further damage, and you'll probably lose the whole foot." A flash of fear appears in the man's eyes.
"I'm glad we understand each other." With a flick of her wrist, the knife sliced through the gag. "Why'd you allow yourself to be caught?"

"Probably so the questions we ask will give his beneficiary knowledge of what we know" The mustached man grins evilly.

The man stammers in confusion, "I--I, what?"
"Why'd you let yourself get caught? Were you careless or just stupid?"
"I didn't? I mean I wasn't, I didn't think--they didn't tell me."
"Didn't tell you what?" "Anything. They just told me where to find you, and nothing else. I was going in blind."
"Makes sense. Why would they tell an amateur like you anything? Hell, we I'm surprised you made it this far, your technique was sloppy," Naya lied. He was good, neither of them had heard him come up the stairs, without the sensor he probably would have taken them by surprise.
"No, they-they weren't telling us anything. I was just supposed to observe."
Us. They've recently sent out more than one spy.
"Well you're doing a wonderful job. Ann can shove it, she and the guild aren't getting the formula. 'specially not if they keep hiring cut-rate spies."
A flash of confusion crossed the man's face, "You think Ann's still around? That traitorous bitch is long gone, we've got someone better than Ann ever was, and when she sends someone for me... you'll be sorry."
Naya glanced at Jotunn and signed: That's about all I need. Do you have any questions?
