The beneficial Symbol spell in question: Symbol of Mirroring.
Ordinarily Symbol spells are traps, that negatively affect those that are in its range when triggered.
You can attune people at the time of casting so they are excluded from the effects.
The poorly written Mirroring symbol says it follow the rules for Symbol of Death.
Attune to exclude allies from a beneficial effect is pretty obviously not how they intended it to work.
Suggested fix: Beneficial Symbol spells instead must be attuned to affect people.
Otherwise the spell is utterly pointless and worthless.
