Link -> Inscribe Magical TattooI know, lots of questions! Sorry! 1) Is this type of crafting allowed? It's a bit different than the others and wanted to check as it is kinda cool, but also a bit powerful if I'm reading right (since it allows slotless items effectively at reduced cost, even if they have to match existing ones). 2) If allowed what are the rules for charging other players? If I understand right, due to being effectively slotless the cost to craft is usual item price (meaning to buy from a merchant or something it would technically be 2x regular cost). I assume 125% or 150% but wasn't sure which one. If I'm wrong entirely and reading it wrong, please correct me too! 3) Due to the wording do you have to use your craft (calligraphy/tattoo/painting) or can you still use the spellcraft skill instead? Wanted to check before I finish allocating all my skill points. Thanks again!

I'll poke dev Chat. Here are my immediate thoughts. 1) It seems alright to me. 2) Pseudo slotless versions of normal items would cost double the normal cost. They would use the same tattoo slot of a normal type of that item, so a Tatoo of Vast Intelligence would have to take the headband tattoo slot. 3) Since the wording of the feat says you "can" use Craft(calligraphy, paintings, tattoos), you should be able to use Spellcraft normally. You would still need 5 ranks in one of those to take the feat, however.

Thanks! Can I get some clarification on 2, though please? Specifically cost. Want to make sure I have this right. Relevant info: Inscribe Magical TattooMagic Item Creation linkSo if I'm understanding right, they are put in a special tattoo slot for the item, leaving the actual slot open. The cost would be calculated as follows (using an easy example to make sure I understand correctly here): Regular Belt of Physical Might (+2 Str and +2 Con) - Regular cost is 10,000 gp. Crafting is done at half price so craft wondrous would allow this to be made for 5000 gp. You can sell it to another player for a minimum of 7500 gp. Tattoo of Physical Might (+2 Str and +2 Con) - Due to using a tattoo slot and using the rules for not taking up a space on the body this doubles the cost to buy which would be normally be 20,000 gp. A tattoo could be crafted (through Inscribe magical tattoo) for half price so it should be 10,000 gp. This can be sold to another player at 75% of cost (20,000) which is 15,000 gp. Is this correct or have I messed it up somewhere? Figured the example would be the easiest way to figure it out and clarify if I am wrong.
