Character Level: 20+
Background: As of the end of the PBP I posted 6-7 months ago, the group affiliated with the Aetherlands managed to use an Epic Spell Seed (Teleportation) to open a portal to 'another' location. Without actually going through this new portal the group decided to study its properties and try to get a sense of its safety. This arc will involve the first journeys into 'The Beyond', whatever that may be.
House Rules: It's the GMs job to present challenges to the players. As such, and given just how difficult that is for 20+ characters, I will be throwing unique challenges your way. Some spells or abilities may not always work, or may work differently from normal. Some things may affect you despite your AC 100. Diplomacy isn't magical if you have enough of it. Your result of 89 to Knowledge (Arcana) might not give you every ounce of information. That isn't to say I'll be purposefully sabotaging all the players at all times, but I don't want to hear grumbling of GM Fiat if I have to go the extra mile to make things interesting or challenging rather than "How can I make this challenge take 1 round or less?" There will be story reasons for why things aren't working as you'd expect, and unfortunately you'll have to be challenged to earn your experience and money.
Also, Mythic Ranks will be available for this arc. If you need to update them, do so. Otherwise, please send me a google doc or sheet with your selections and which level they were gained. As before, I reserve the right to veto anything considered too crazy, but so far I haven't had to do that.
P.S. To clarify, I'm not going to just ignore all the players' awesome powers and abilities. Everyone at this point is basically God-like and should feel God-like, but there are so many layers of protection from basically everything in the rules that could pose any sort of threat (and so many ways to cause eyerolling amounts of damage) that different aspects of that invulnerability will be poked from time to time to provide a challenge.
I am prepared to run sessions for 1-4 players, potentially 5 depending upon how difficult it will make crafting challenges.
Current Players:
1. Mierre
2.
3.
