With an appointment set up to meet with the gnome wizard and jump him, the group variously buff and prepare their tactics. Going into the meeting tavern an hour and a half early under disguises and nondetection, the group is spotted and observed by the wizard's friendly, who was able to see through their magical guise from what Denshi could tell. Having observed from outside, Denshis sneaked in and was almost immediately noticed, causing the plan to be rapidly changed. Yelling out to 'get him!' Denshi gave chase as the man made a run for it only to be slapped for his trouble. It was, however, a resounding slap with such divine force that he found himself sent to Heaven where he ended up spending a tranquil few hours before going back home. The rest of the group, unaware of what had happened to Denshi, cornered the man and his attempts to shunt Luis off to Heaven were shrugged off and met with swordplay. Though durable, the man finally fell to his wounds as Luis tried to knock him unconscious. Now faced with a dead man and onlookers, the group swiftly debated what to do and took a while doing so. This gave enough time for one of the man's allies to appear, a metallic eidolon covered in shearing limbs dropping to the ground. Though it took a remarkably heavy hit from Lin as it fell, it's opening slices nearly felled her in turn. Luis, reacting quickly, swiftly sliced it's weakened for apart.
Under the threat of possible attack from nearly any angle, Zakryk decided to take himself and Luis up to the nearby roof, leaving Lin on the ground. Badly injured, she decided to merge with the stone and earth of the ground and make her way towards the conflux of portals. Hearing another spell being cast above them, Zakryk and Luis looked up only to be confronted with the eidolon once more as it was summoned forth. This time it's blows were even more telling, felling Zakryk close to death and heavily wounding Luis. Picking up Zakryk and running, Luis made his way back into the meeting tavern and threw money at the bartender for a room, which he then began to barricade with the furniture inside. After several minutes no recrimination seemed forthcoming and Luis began to think it wasn't as bad as it had appeared. Then thefire nation attacked Rook guard turned up, asking for entry. Confronted with the local law enforcement, and still disguised as a scribe, Luis agreed to them entering peacefully. He was able to negotiate twenty minutes of respite to apply a salve to Zakryk, who, once he woke and was appriased of the situation, magically blinked away, leaving Luis behind. Luis, now separated from all his allies, was arrested.
Once taken to the local watch house, he removed his disguise and explained as best he could, signing a statement of everything he related. Due to having broken laws he was placed in The Cells, the containment for those of a higher skillset than most of the populace, though was informed the guard who had arrested him would talk to Nyhavn about their Commander being jailed. It was a scant few days later when he was released and reassured that the Rook Guard would also be helping with the case. Meanwhile, Denshi and Lin were doing perfectly fine at home, largely washing their hands of the situation, and Zakryk was off in safety, ridden with guilt for abandoning one of his allies.
