Miere and Capitalist reside in Lord Darynn's estate as the Head Butler and Chef respectively. Though rare, he is known to visit The Golden Plow to look for people to join him on jobs, especially since several of his allies appear to live there.
Even rarer are his visits to the knowledge district to converse with a scholar and professor named Lorek Ra'dari, as well as visits to various other areas of Rook due to the nature of his job.
Whilst out and about Capitalist is almost always with him, no doubt drawing glances and whispers. Capitalist's mutable presence hassn't caused quite as much of a stir over the recent months due to Miere, and by extension Capitalist, becoming more of a known entity outside the southern slums.
Should Miere be walking around Rook for enjoyment rather than work, he is also often accompanied by a young elven girl called Maria, a potential orphan from the slums who Miere has elected to take care of.
Miere and Capitalist now also own the magical research and development store, bar and grill Miere Magick, located in the Central Market District. From here Miere sells his wondrous creations, as well as a selection of arms and armour alongside a variety of regional alcohol and beverages for the discerning shopper, topped off with the opportunity to relax and enjoy the mixed grill in a magnificent observation dome. Symposiums and teaching classes are also held regularly in the large building by various theorists and experts of both mundane and magical theory, rented out at an affordable price. For those academically inclined, a selection of libraries reside in the building, specializing in the arcane, the planar and the religious respectively.

In character:
Solomon Nox walks into Miere's shop, he approachs the counter casually and states: "Greetings Miere, I hear that you are in the business of creating potent magical items. As of late, I have been fighting a lot of diseased vermin, a couple mages, and one rather bad breathed mutant goblin. I am looking for something to help me against these ailments, can you create anything of the sort? and at what price?"

Turning with a smile, Miere doffs his hat in greeting. "Hello there. I can indeed make a wide variety of trinkets, gewgaws and clothing suited to fending off such disease ad infection. For an entry level item, why not try out a fine cloak of resistance?"
Holding out his own cloak, Miere gestures to the weave. "The enchantments placed upon it generally make you more resistant, reactive or merely more lucky against a variety of life's ills, for the remarkably low price of 750gp, a saving of 25% on the normal market value."

Nodding, Miere jots down the order on a small pad. "I can get started right away, and the item will be finished in approximately 4 hours, so this afternoon. Feel free to pop back in after then and it'll be ready and waiting for you. Thank you for the payment, do you have a preference for colour?"
Capitalist dutifully takes the gold with a nod and takes it out back to the vault, ready to exchange it for the various materials required for the creation of the cloak.

Capitalist, taking a look at his own claws, ponders the request for a few moments, before tilting his head slightly to the side. "Maybe an amulet of natural armour? My hide has always kept me relatively save, so enhancing your own should help fairly well."

My character's approval is pending, but is there a cost associated with lodging or crafting at Miere Magick? Or does the expansion of skill and aid you could potentially draw upon sufficiently provide incentive to offer room?

There are no associated costs with lodging or using the facilities - the downtime earnings are assumed to cover this.
The main 'payment' would be keeping Miere informed of any interesting information of situations occurring within sessions you take part in and generally being polite.

Just got approved. A lanky and pale elf wearing blue robes, a patch of armor, and a prominent tattoo walks into Miere Magick. "I've heard you're looking for skilled craftsmen. My name is Raymond Gullion; I specialize in Bowery/fletchery, and Jewelry (particularly gems). After I gain the requisite experience and finances, I plan on expanding my endeavors into the magical crafts. Do you have room for someone of my skills?" He lays his bow and a quiver of arrows which he crafted on the counter for you to examine, then pulls out a superbly cut gem of Onyx as well.

Looking up, Miere will glance over Raymond and nod, almost absent mindedly. "Yes, there's always a space for a skilled crafsman here. Did you want accommodation specifically, or a place to utilize for work? There are both, here."
Turning to the side, Miere gestures to someone in the office and waves them forwards. Stepping out appears to be a heavily armoured centaur, replete with plate barding and a fully enclosing helm. "This is Capitalist, the co-owner. Capitalist, Raymond. Raymond, Capitalist."
Bowing a head in greeting, Capitalist extends a hand. "A pleasure. That is a nicely cut gem, you'll fit right in here."

Turning from Raymond, the centaur Capitalist will nod at the new arrival. "Certainly, there's adequate space. My name is Capitalist and the co-owner there is Miere. If you could both follow me then."
Capitalist will give the pair a tour around the facility, pointing out the brewery, multiple bars and kitchen for the benefit of those staying, and the auditorium halls and libraries, as well as the working rooms for those of a more work-oriented disposition. "You're welcome to use the facilities should they be useful to you. Laine, as mentioned to Raymond, the only real cost is to keep us informed of any unusual occurrences happening in, around or near Rook please. It pays to stay informed when you run a magical R&D building, yes?"
After a few more rooms, Capitalist shows the pair the lodgings. "Feel free to personalize the rooms if you wish, knowing that anything you put in the room you will be kindly requested to take care of, should it be alive. Were there any questions?"

Turning to Laine, Capitalist will nod a thanks. "Excellent, thank you. If there is nothing else, I shall take my leave."
