Player Loot:
Talon: 3 Influence.
Pab: 4 Influence.
Kade: 1 Influence (Half Reward).
2 Influence base, +1 for Pab and Talon for setting half of Dralhearth of fire, +1 for Pab for killing a 6 year old child with a single shot.
Only a couple of days away from Dralhearth, Pab conversed with Talon about going back to check on Yenge since it was close to the next full moon and their last visit hadn't quite got to the bottom of events. Kade, sitting nearby, agreed to join them and the trio made their way to the settlement by the river delta. After arriving, a quick trip through town revealed that those who had gone missing last time hadn't turned up and their boats had been sold with the proceeds going to their respective families. After waiting for a bit at the docks they met Yenge again as he returned from fishing. He looked more worn and older by far compared to the previous month, but otherwise seemed fine - it seemed his brush with death hadn't suited him much. The trio, after giving him the heads up to keep himself safe during the full moon that night, then investigated the apothecary. The building had been boarded up but that was only a temporary setback. Inside they found the floor had been covered over by the trap door was still there underneath. Checking, they found that the basement had been filled in with earth. Regardless the place served as a useful base of operations for their stay. They waited till nightfall to stake out the mayor's house, to see if he went anywhere.
True enough he left several hours into the night, went to the docks and dived into the water. Pab caught up with Talon and Kade to inform them, with the trio making their way to the mayor's house to look for evidence of the disappearances. Wary of his wife still potentially being around, Pab opened the door at range to see if there was any reaction. It wasn't long before the 6 year old son wandered up to close the door, and was duly startled as Talon magically opened the door afterwards. Crying out for him mother and somewhat ruining their cover, Talon and Pab made a rush for the house. Running downstairs, the mayor's wife shielded her son as she warned them to leave or she'd take them down. Kade, a bit sketchy about this turn of events, moved up to cautiously support. His concern was lessened when Pab went to move forwards only for the woman to conjure a fish-scaled serpentine monster that began to rip into Pab. She took her son upstairs for safety as Pab continued to struggle with the eidolon. Kade repeatedly found his mark as he shot it with several arrows as Talon rushed upstairs to confront the woman. He soon found himself shot as the child had retrieved his father's light crossbow. Much to his concern the little boy was able to shoot him several times, then the mother's grease spell floored him. Eventually Kade vanquished the eidolon, only for the woman to resummon it upstairs. With a vicious bite it gouged the back of Talon's head, felling him though his propensity to death managed to keep him alive.
Kade, feeling pressed for time, threw a wand of healing at Pab before retreating. Unimpressed with the quality of his allies, Pab magically warded the eidolon away as it charged towards him and went to confront the wife and child. Seeing a light crossbow as a legitimate threat as he was still injured, Pab telekinetically slammed the child into the wall, instantly killing him. With a scream of rage the woman summoned a wolf which proceeded to rip into Pab so hard he passed out. It was the next morning when the pair of them awoke tied up in one of the fish storage warehouses. Some skill later and Pab had freed the pair and they skulked towards their cover house, the apothecary. Waiting till night, Pab proposed revenge - setting multiple buildings on fire and then utterly burning the mayor's house to the ground. This went without a hitch, though as the duo went to 'kidnap' Yenge and rescue him, he was nowhere to be found though his boat was in the dock. With a sinking feeling Pab realized poor old Yenge may have been taken the previous night during the full moon. Still, with half the town alight there was at least a measure of victory, though it seemed like the mystery continued.
