Denshi: 3 Influence.
Luis: 1 Influence.
Zakryk: 1 Influence.
Lin: 1 Influence (Half Session Reward).
2 Influence base, -1 for all but Lin for the crazy number of scrolls used on Guard budget, +2 for Denshi for setting up a face to face meeting with one of the targets.
Considering their options, the group went to track down the second of the two guards who had misled Luis. With the judicious application of more and more scrolls, it was found that the other set of guard armour had been abandoned at a local tavern deep within Nyhavn, implying that whoever had been using it now largely had free reign within the city, traveling around with impunity. Denshi, further investigated the possibility of other insurgents or adversaries in the city. Through a cluster of visions from yet another scroll, he realized that Luis had been making proclamations around the city even whilst he was occupied with the case. Suspecting an imposter, Denshi and Zakryk set off to Luis' office to arrange a meeting with the fake. Kuis and Lin, after starting an unfortunate rumour in the tavern concerning who Luis was searching for, decided to try and track other leads. Following a rather disgruntled ratcatcher down into the sewers eventually tipped Luis off about the impostor as he had no recollection of imposing emergency taxes and he rushed off to his office also.
Denshi and Zakryk in the meantime had arranged a meeting, only for the meeting to not materialise as the imposter clearly recognised the names of those trying to meet him and went to leave. They were prepared however, Denshi's invisible form aiming to scythe the legs out from the man before taking him in for questioning. Unfortunately Denshi hit a hemisphere of force and was increasingly frustrated as their attempts to bring down the impersonator were met with magic and, eventually, the escape of their target. Cussing out magic users, Denshi filled Luis in on the events with Zakryk's aid when the Commander finally reached his office to warn the others that there was, in fact, an imposter about. Considering he and Zakryk had seen through the imposter's illusions and knew he was a gnome, not to mention having seen his exact appearance, Denshi went to Rook to investigate and found that the gnome did in fact have a contact there to take on business for him, set up meetings and so on. So, Denshi disguised himself and set a meeting up, fully planning to assemble everyone the next jay and jump the guy. It was a solid plan.
