Reward as per Character Level
Session Date: 12/15/2016
GM Geckilian - Miere Klerrin (CL)
Player Loot:
Zakryk: Died and no reward.
Ebon: 2 Influence.
Lin: 2 Influence.
2 Influence base.
The archaeologist from before, impressed with the previous work rendered, contacted Ebon once again with another task. After the trio had assembled to hear the proposal, they were initially unsure about accepting the task of infiltrating a Drow city to 'obtain' a manual or tome detail the arts of fleshcrafting. Though they certainly decided not to essentially kidnap any unfortunates who had undergone the procedure, or any priestesses capable of doing it, a book was a much more palatable request. After some significant planning, Ebon and Lin disguised themselves with magical aid as Drow, with Zakryk taking on the form of a fleshcrafted minion. Initial forays could have gone better, with first contact as they got close to the settlement resulting in dead opposing Drow when their cover was questioned. A series of misfortunes resulted in Zakryk dying, and his body was dutifully carried to the closest enclave so mortuary cult attendants could revive him as Ebon and Lin continued. It was with much thought that the pair chose to return to their employer, explaining the difficulties faced and that more people, and greater preparations, would be required next time. If nothing else they had a workable plan and firsthand experience with some of the precautions they would go up against a second time. Their employer was only too happy to defer to their judgement, as he'd hired them without as much background info on the job anyway, so any progress was welcome.
