Sirru and Drov encountered each other on a road to the far east of the Free Cities. Finding similarities they decided to travel together, noting the road led to a coastal town called Dralhearth, known for it's fisheries and, by extension, seafood. Never having been there buy hearing of how good their food was, it seemed likely there would also be potential for paid work there. On the way they encountered Kosnica resting alongside the road, having been politely asked to leave the carriage he'd been riding. Not long after Pab made himself known to the group to avoid any hostility or misunderstandings and reluctantly the group covered the last of the distance to Dralhearth. Once there they found the biggest tavern, The Inn's Mouth, did indeed serve some fantastic seafood at good prices and also had very affordable rooms. Booking a stay, the group variously decided how to best spend their time in the town considering there was no paid jobs available that they immediately could see.
Drov spent his time chatting to some locals including Yenge, a sailor and fisherman. He was only too happy to chat about rumours and gossip, much to the annoyance of his peers, and offered to take Drov out fishing the next morning. The other three members of the group decided to investigate the Mayor's house since he was likely to be in charge of the secondary market for pearls, with Pab letting himself into the cottage's back garden only to be confronted by a confused wife with her daily washing. Calling her husband for help, the mayor emerged and didn't buy their excuse of being simply lost, but they were able to leave without a fight. That night, Pab went back to have another attempt and to his dismay was followed by Sirru. With a light in the window, Sirru offered to be a distraction, went into a nearby alley and began his magical transformation. The ensuing light and music show coming from the alley brought a fair amount of undue attention, including the Mayor who saw pab. Pab, not wanting anything to do with this, said he was as confused as anyone else and wanted to leave. The mayor nodded him away and took aim at the alley, shooting and instantly dropping Sirru with an expert shot as he emerged.
In the morning everyone, bar Sirru, went fishing with Yenge who showed them one of the weird thing's he'd found out past the river delta - a small humanoid skeleton stuck in a very large lobster trap, but the skull resembled that of a fish. This was duly noted as 'pretty weird' as he took them back to shore. Sirru meanwhile had woken up tied to a barrel in one of the fishery warehouses. With the aid of his familiar his bonds were quickly removed and he hid, eventually noticing two dock workers entering and audibly wondering where he went. With a cunning use of dancing lights, which caused the pair to watch and chat about how some wizards were just odd, he made his escape. The rest of the group saw him and caught up with him to ask what had happened, only for him to break into a sprint as the two dock workers came out and saw him. They eventually gave up when he showed no signs of slowing down and Sirru resolved to look at least slightly different next time he showed up.
