Drov Whisper
Character Backstory:
Enslaved by his own mother within the depths of Salisara, Drov survived by being unseen when not needed, and promptly reveling himself when called upon. The Matriarch is a hostile place for a male, much less a standout like a Half-Drow/Half-Elf. From this harsh environment he learned, or rather was forced to learn that some things must be done regardless of personal feelings if you wish to live another day. Thus through this brutal trial, he survived by being more useful and more intelligent than the other 'servants'. Eventually, he was determined to have enough competency to wield a blade and was trained to use that blade in order to act as a escort for a lower class household.Character Backstory:
His escape was partially luck, partially goodwill, and much foolishness on his employer's part. It was a normal dimly lit day in the wet caves when some of the younger members of the household wished to throw a party, for whatever reason. This lead of course to several of the household getting smashed out of their minds, but a few remained coherent enough to still stand. Drov accompanying the nobles as they traveled they goaded Drov into drinking a few drinks with them, not wanting to argue he did take a few sips, but most went onto the ground when the other two weren't looking. As they wandered they began going up, and up, further than was advisable if they wanted to keep within the bounds of Drow secured caverns. As such they happened upon a small group of adventurers, the two that he was supposed guard are killed after attacking the adventurers while still drunk from the party. The last man standing from his party, he tried to escape from the melee and the leader from the other party let him go, even after killing one of his party. He seemed exasperated with his allies.
His father was a half-elf that was captured and then enslaved within Salisara. His mother was from a mid-level houshold within the Drow community. About the time that Drov was 18 he was traded to another household that was slightly lower on the totem-pole and they had need of a fighter so they pitted Drov against their warriors daily for weeks so that he might learn. Although he always had a better affluence for fighting from the shadows, he learned as that was his only choice.
