Character Name: Nephil Varg
Character & Description: At 6'4" and 200 lbs. of muscle, Nephil is a hulking brute among tieflings. A shock of dirty blonde hair covers the back of his head, punctured by a pair of curving horns. The top is bare and tough as horn, scaling down to a severe face. The brow is crossed with scars from battles or lashes, with one cutting down from above his piercing blue right eye to near the jaw.
Background Information: Nephil was a retainer to a low-to-middling tiefling noble in old cloud city. His master seeking to improve his fortune, they were relocated to the New Cloud City shortly after its conquest. Finding a place within a moderately powerful hive, he decided that Nephil was no longer needed for defense. Simply letting him go would have been bad enough, but he was surreptitiously sold to an orc of higher rank in the hive. Lacking any real prospects or knowledge of the new city, he stayed in the situation. That orc was a brutal owner, but he was near Nephil's age - very old for an orc. So rather than raise the ire of a criminal syndicate, he took the easy way out by simply outliving the bastard. While the leadership of the hive was shuffling, he helped himself to some of the now-former master's coffers - though not enough to get a target on his back, and striking out. He'll be a power on his own, in time.
