I know that magical item crafting has been done throughout the nose, but I don't think much/any has been dedicated to actual mundane crafting. I recently received as loot from a quest some animal hides and I wanted to see if I could turn them into clothing of sort. How do the Gm's wish to handle mundane crafting? Will it be by the standard rules set down in the rule books or will there be another way? The clothes obviously don't cost over 1000g to make, so I assume you can make them in one day, with more days added to increase their value (due to better stitching / longer time curing the hides / etc) generally making them better quality. If it has already been addressed I was not there for it and I have heard nothing on it. If you guys have come up with a way could you give me the DC's you would expect for making poor / average / high quality items? (Clothing especially.)
I also know that down time rules should be put into effect eventually.....so if this question would be filled under that please inform me. And possibly tell me when downtime rules come into play cause only being able to play once a week (if that) with no magical crafting at all means I am sitting on my hands and unable to do anything productive, in terms of xp, money, or anything.....

I'm not a gm but in general in pf:
Unfortunately, mundane crafting is WAY slower than magic.
It would take a few months at minimum for 1000gp value p.e.
As for how it works: Multiply DC*check. That is how many SILVER pieces value you craft PER WEEK.
Masterwork items are DC 20, mundane range from 11(for leather armor p.e to 19 for plate)
For bejeweled perfect clothes I would go with DC 20 and 100-500gp value depending on gemstones and such.

This is something I've been meaning to bring up with the other staff. Mundane crafting as is is ridiculously slow compared to magical crafting. Currently it's just by the book as per the crafting skills, but I'm going to see if we can come up with something better so it doesn't take literal months to craft something.
