Tends to be dressed in exotic, strange clothing when not in the field. It often bears the insignia and symbols of either Cloud City or the library he used to work at. Habitually wears his reading spectacles, and obviously a tiefling due to his horns. His manners are impeccable and he is unflinchingly polite, no doubt indicating some kind of training in rhetoric in the past. Some kind of excitement is usually burning in his eyes, and he is only very rarely seen frowning. He reacts to most danger with interest, and new and odd creatures with outright excitement. Will often have his nose buried in a book.
Background:
Born to a minor family of little note, Zachary was unable to secure a thorough education (particularly, to his disappointment, in the ways of wizardly magic) in the rigid hierarchy of Cloud City. His natural aptitude seems to call out for it, but it resigned to eternal frustration, his interest in books eventually causing him to find work as a librarian. Even there, plenty of free time ensured his continual reading of fantastic novels and histories, and more recently, stories of the lands beyond the city began to reach his ear. Romanticizing these exploits, he would often slip out at night, jumping from building to building (and nearly getting himself killed a few times), trying to escape notice, learning the art of lockpicking. Eventually growing unable to continue with the life of being another cog in the city's machine, he set out to a city which had featured frequently - Rook - in the hopes of remaking himself there.
