Primarily for Veridar and Azraelle; takes place just after the quest in the bog where Anguirus perished
Veridar is normally the picture of composure. Even in the depth of the hunt, even when his arrows miss left and right, and even when he is in deep mortal peril, he is normally straight-faced and comfortable. As a denizen of the forest and a survivalist by trade, it is in nature.
But in the deepest darkness of duress, his facade breaks. And nothing could break him faster than the lost of his beast companion, Anguirus.
True, he and Anguirus had not been together very long, but they had been a team. Anguirus wasn't all that intelligent, but he was tough. And the two were connected in ways most people (who didn't have beast companions themselves, anyway) could not understand.
And now Anguirus was dead, his thick armor cracked by a troll's attacks. And Veridar, still in mourning, is desperate.
He wants to return to where he first met Anguirus. He wants to return to Dino Island. And he only knows of one person who can get him there, though he knows little else about her.
Azraelle.
He doesn't necessarily know where she lives or where to find her, but find her he must, so that he can go to the island and seek a new beast companion. In his heart, he wants Anguirus back again...but he knows that such is not possible. And his thoughts are not entirely rational, but such is the way. Anguirus was not a mere hunting companion. Anguirus was, in many ways, his only friend.
And that fairly depressing thought is what drives him to seek her. The only one he knows who can help him.
He will find a way to get to that island somehow. He only hopes that she will be willing...and that her price will not be too high.
