A doctor living in a small village in the Vale, Faust lived a quiet peaceful life until the corruption spread to his village. Faust was barely able to escape from the carnage with his life but managed to save a young woman named Sylvie in his flight, picking up an abandoned sword and fending off the attacker with a righteous might. The duo managed to run into some who were hired to quell the very corruption they just escaped from and followed them back to Rook after the completion of their job. The doctor upon arriving in Rook had none of his savings with him, none of his possessions, only an abandoned sword, clothes on his back and his newfound companion.
