I noticed that this group has made changes to the drow spell resistance. I am curious as to why this change was made.
As is a drow has to spend a feat to get normal 6+level spell resistance. Without it a PC or an NPC drow will only have a 5% chance to fizzle a spell from a spellcaster of their level. Now, many spellcasters are above a normal PC's level. Against second level or higher casters or any caster that adds additional CL to their spells via any means a drow will have a 0% chance to fizzle a spell.
Raw, Drow have 6+1 class level. While it seems like a lot at first glance this is after a nerf from 3.5 where drow had 11+level. While 11 is a bit high a 6 is halving it already. The chance for a drow to resist a spell of their class level by raw is only 30%. That is 1 in 3 of a spellcaster of the same level. A third level spellcaster without any other modifiers to CL reduces this to 20% or 1 in 5. Additionally many spells cannot be resisted at all. Some such as grease do not invoke a spell resistance save. Ditto for illusions and enemy buffs/summons. At higher levels the amount of spells that ignore SR increase as well.
As such I am curious if this was intended and if so, why.

Drow in general have stronger racial traits than most other available races. The change is to keep them in line with the available core races.
