Gaius took some personal time to research his interests at the Wayward Path library. After his most recent adventure, he left the party before the expedition was fully complete. And in his absence, said party was able to collect live plants creatures had previously encountered. Gaius spoke with Pupillam about them, inspected them himself, and even autopsied one. Afterwards, Gaius asked Pupillam if he had seen Grobbix recently.

Pupiliam will involventarially cringe at the mention of Grobbix's name.
"Uh, yes, yes. I have seen Grobbix. Seems not a week goes by and he is back in here asking about the island or talking about his adventures on it. Your best bet to find him would be to ask around. the camp on the island."

Gaius nods and bids his farwell and used his travelogue to access the campsite on New Island. His first action was to approach Benem and inquire upon him about Grobbix.
