Good morning/evening/afternoon,
Hi! My name is Aidan as many of you know (and can probably tell from the thread name and forum name), and I am very interested in becoming a GM on Dragons Gate.
A little about me
I am a 17 year old highschool student and I live in Tucson, Arizona. I have a part time job and attend school full time, in addition to taking care of my mom with my two brothers (one older one younger). I spend a lot of time playing tabletop rpg's and have done so for 7 years because I have a lot of fun being part of a narrative as someone other than myself, Kind of like an interactive action packed book, or a video game with more freedom. I have condition called chronic tic disorder and so don't be suprised if in the middle of the sentence I have to shut of my mic, I'll be back on a moment later
Strengths
I am incredibly excited and willing to spend a lot of time in Dragons Gate as a GM, I consider myself generally creative, I can be very immersive with my descriptions, I am familiar with table dynamics and I pride myself in finding something for everyone at the table to exceed at. I pick up things quickly in most cases. I'm usually pretty polite and don't tend to start fights (except how arcane magic rules!)
Weaknesses
Though I am willing to put a lot of time in, my hours may be a bit weird (but weekends and later afternoon are almost always good for me to hang out or whatever), I am not incredibly familiar with each ruling and will sometimes need to be reminded of certain things. I am not very experienced with running high level games (10+) but am willing to learn. I am not very familiar with Roll20 system but again am willing to learn, I'm not always the fastest with speech or decision making so it might be a bit slower paced than a normal GM. I have shit taste in music. Horrible voice actor and will generally be Rick and Morty, or myself.
to wrap up, I would just like to say that I really enjoy Dragons Gate and I want to be able to give back, and also maybe work to become a better GM in the process. Almost all of my weaknesses are really just things I haven't worked on enough yet and I'm ready to work at them. (also as a side-note if I do end up being accepted, as a general rule of thumb I like story arcs so that is what my focus would be, unless the council or other gms think that is unwise)
Thanks for taking the time to read this! I look forward to hearing back from the leadership council
