Name: Francis Tack About: Francis is an old fisher's soul who is quite different from many of his Sylph peers in that he loves the sea, and would usually rather be sailing than doing much else. When he stops to think or starts a conversation, he'll always light up his ivory, rune-carved pipe before speaking. Francis smells of a combination of pipe-smoke, feint alchemical reagents, and sea water. When Francis does speak, it's with a calm, thoughtful, wise-sounding voice you wouldn't expect from such a gruff dress and exterior. Description: Francis wears a dark blue captains coat over his armor or other gear, and sports a plain navy blue fisherman's cap. Francis looks middle age, with some wrinkles on his face, especially around his bright blue eyes. He has a mustache and long sideburns, and is balding underneath his cap. His hair is all black with many streaks of grey starting to show through. He has a single, circular spiraling rune on his right cheek that betrays his Sylph heritage. Background Info:
Originally hailing from Cloud City, Francis grew up in a somewhat normal household. While he and all other Sylph's were indeed treated as second class citizens, Francis never held any resentment towards Tieflings and Aasimars who treated his people so lowly. Francis was quiet, and spend much of his time in libraries, reading fascinating tales of wondrous adventure. The tales that stirred him the most, however, were those that told of giant whales, endless oceans, and brave captains. He longed to test his wit at sea and man the helm of his own boat someday. His fellow Sylph's made fun of him, for a Sylph's place shall always be in the clouds, as is in their elemental blood. When Cloud City finally made contact with Rook, Francis saw his chance. Taking up the regalia of the captain's he had read of, Francis set foot in this new city, determined to conquer his fears and live up to his dream of sailing the seas. Of course, a large ship like the one he dreams of costs more money than most have, and while Francis knows he can make a slow living carving bows and making potions (which he loves to do as a hobby when he takes his rowboat out to fish), it is said the fastest way to riches and glory is through a life of adventuring. And so, Francis sets for the Golden Plough, determined to embrace whatever his destiny may hold.
