How does a character go about joining a Martial Tradition?
Different traditions have wildly different final requirements for joining.
Black Thorn Knights requires about a year in-game to join, due to requiring the character to grow a Rose bush.
Empyrial Guardians requires a day of standing around and doing nothing and not eating.
Both of these two traditions give access to the RP-locked Disciplines of Black Seraph and Silver Crane. Each requires a time commitment of training, but the actual mechanical way to join these traditions has such a disparity: a month-ish vs a full year.
So, back to the original question: how do you join a martial tradition? I've heard from some that you're required to RP it in a session and from others that you can simply mark it down on a sheet (nothing concrete from any leads on this).
Regardless of how you enter the tradition, to what extent does a character gain the mechanical benefits of the tradition? Do you gain the Martial Discipline? The static bonuses to saves?
