My character is a Vanguard Commander, which is a Warlord archetype specializing in shields and defense. Thus, it would seem obvious for him to take a lot of shield-based feats. However, many of the shield feats require levels in Fighter. I don't see anything that specifically says that the Warlord can take Fighter feats, but I think it would certainly make sense in this case.
