Appearance: Isum is a human with dark skin, white hair and black eyes. He has a bit of an unearthly appearance about him, the only betrayal of one of his more well kept secrets. The human wears dark grey furs over his scale armor.
History: From his earliest days, Isum was a slave to an underground fighting ring that operated out of the UME. Never much of a fighter, he survived from day to day by virtue of surviving far longer than his enemies could. It was during this point in his life that he began to hear whispers. As he slept, he saw visions of madness and destruction. At first he pushed them to the side, the emptiness of slavery consuming him, but then he began to notice strange wisps of energy seeping from his skin on days when he became particularly wounded.
Time went on and he noticed the energy seeping from him more and more, and eventually it got to the point where he was sequestered and examined for magical ability. When it was discovered that he had none, and he was acting as more of a battery for unnatural energies, he was removed from the ring and locked away to be used as a test subject.
As the months went by Isum began to focus his energies, learning how to bend them to his will. When he felt himself ready, he planned his escape. One day, when his captors came to gather him, Isum let his gathered power explode from his body. The loosed energy sucked the life out of his captors and when silence filled the room once more, Isum was able to make his way out. After some minor searching he found his way out of the building he was in, and from there he began to flee the city. Not having any better ideas, he simply ran north. Days of unending travel went by, and Isum eventually collapsed from exhaustion. When he awoke, he found himself laying on a clean bed with a change of clothes sitting on a nearby chair. After changing his clothes he made his way through the house where he met a witch named Polme Kahn, the one who rescued him. A few days went by from there, and Isum eventually left her behind and made his way to Rook.
