In the event that I was to make an alchemist, and i gave them a sling. would it be possible for them to trow potions with the sling rather than by hand?

meant to say bombs, but as i understood it the alchemist can create some potions that do splash damage if they are created after a recipe which mimics a spells.

You could choose to flavor your bombs as being tossed with your sling, but it wouldn't create any mechanical benefit.
I'm not familiar with any potions or extracts that you can throw to deal damage. You might be thinking of acid flasks or alchemists fire.
