Starting from level 11 my alchemist viktor will have access to multiple claws attack from his tiefling racial claws and his bestial mutagen, my query in this post is whether or not i can choose to grow a pair of claws on my feet in order to accomadate these 4 claws. The bestiary has multiple examples of beings having claws on their feet such as giant eagles and bipedal eidelons are allowed to have a pair of claws on their feet as well. the most common way to handle claws on the feet however seems to be to give the subject a rake attack as can be seen in the case of the lion. So would my character Viktor be able to have 2 claw attacks at level 11 that function as part of his normal attack sequence or access to a rake attack. Or would he simply not gain anything at all from this. With regards to balance level 11 is right around where full casters are fundamentally altering reality so I do not feel that allowing feet claws to work as normal or as part of a rake would be to unbalancing.

Pazio FAQBiped: You can't have claws on your feet. Quadruped: You can have claws on your feet, but can't use them usually Exceptions: pounce, rake Imo i would include flying in the quadruped exceptions

So the FAQ Bostich Linked pretty much answers the question, the FAQ defines bipeds as "roughly humanoid-shaped, with two arms and two legs" and explicitly assigns claws to the hands. It then further, in the last paragraph, defines Talons as claws for feet on flying bipeds, and explicitly denies the ability to reskin claws into talons for game mechanics.
So that being taken care for, here's my question, where in beastform mutagen are you gaining any natural attacks? I've never really dug into the archetype before because it didn't really interest me but in reading through it getting ready to respond to this question I notice that it never actually grants any natural attacks on its own, just the ability lists off of the Beast Shape spells. If you're planning on taking Feral Mutagen that's covered by the above FAQ, and I don't see anything on the list that gives you access to talons unless you actually use a spell to transform into something like a harpy.

A tiefling is not a quadruped. Doesn't matter if you're flying, swimming, or crawling.

Yeah a Tiefling is definitely a biped. So no chance there. And if you would polymorph into a flying quadruped you can't keep the tiefling claws.
(Tkul, i assume he wants to use the Feral Mutagen Discovery to gain a bite and 2 claw attacks.)

On a similar note in relation to my more recent question for when and or if Kitsune would ever be added. With foxshape you literally turn into a fox with only a bite. With barbarian rage powers alone you can obtain two different sources of 2 claw attacks. So being a tiny quadruped provided I was lvl11+ for the total attacks could be Bite, Claw x4 as a full attack on a pounce correct?

kitsune will never ever be added from what i heard Sad day I specifically wanted to do that because any other method of doing it is actually stronger. Lol Since foxshape downs you to tiny size thus reducing damage dice and reach to 0ft Tho I can see an issue from the standpoint that there is mostly 3pp content for it and little official.

well actually it wasn't anything to do with those concerns, for whatever reason the leadership just hates kitsune as a race along with catfolks.

well actually it wasn't anything to do with those concerns, for whatever reason the leadership just hates kitsune as a race along with catfolks. Probably that concern for the furry crowd. Unfortunately for me only kitsune get an early permanent non-caster animal shape change to be a quadruped. Thematically Tengu got something going for them but its much higher level and a limited duration. While Mechanically A Feral Beastmorph alchemist with animal shape can do most of the trick but not the way I want + duration. I have a few other options but all are pretty duration based unless I just flat out go druid...
