The book is mightier than the sword.

Celahir is sitting alone at his corner table in the Golden Plow; in front of him the usual stack of books. Completly immersed in his studies the only signs of life are the pages of the book in front of him changing by themselves, the regular nips from his beer and the short wave to Mary, the waitress, when he finishes his pint.
The books have titles like "Go with the flow!", "Leading for Dummies", "Maneuvers - the best tricks to impress your friends and defeat your enemies" and the biggest of them all "Path of War" by Somnius the Scarred.
Obviously he is looking for something, but does not seem to find it, judging from his expression.

"Okay, let's start again. There is an organisation called the Wayward Path. They have probably the biggest library in the universe. Lemon has met one of their members, a jester, so there seems to be a new portal to their library here in Rook. All I can find in these books is, that they follow the Veiled Moon, use magic notebooks to document their adventures and have to speak this oath I found in the biography of this halfling Bingo Beutlin to join them." he mutters to himself. "If I would create a portal the coolest place on earth and had to hide it, where just true book enthusiasts might find it by accident ... it is not the university library. I would have noticed. The next best would be book store, and not a new one with all this rubbish pulp fiction ..." Mary had stopped at his site for a few moments, fascinated by his focus and ignorance of her, holding her open hand in front of his face awaiting a coin. Hearing the last words she brightens up, snaps her fingers to get Celahir to wake up and says: "The brother of my sisters husband works in a small bookstore in the Chalice District and told me just yesterday, that lately all kinds of strange folk are coming in and leaving in backroom without even taking a look around. Maybe you should ask there? It is halfway down Desna Street."
Suddenly very exited Celahir jumps up, grabs a hand of gold coins, presses the coins in her hand and a kiss on her cheek. "Thank you, my dear!" and rushes out of the door. A few seconds later he comes back, says "I almost forget you ...", snaps his fingers and the books start to stack themselves and follow him out in the street.
On the next table sits a man in mask and funny hat. "He could have just asked, you know, but if he is out of the right material he will find us on his own.", Pupillam says.


After a short stop at work to drop of the books, Celahir arrived at the bookstore. Out of breath he takes a look around and can find nothing remarkable. The clerk behind the counter looks at him, his finely crafted Longbow and Buckler and just points towards a door in a corner of the room with a sigh. The next room is nothing more than a small chamber empty aside from a deactivated portal opposite the door. He studies the gate for some time, but cannot find any way to activate it. Out of ideas he steps in front of the gate and recites the oath:

"This book is a record of my travels. I will not falsify the things I've seen and done, though I might exaggerate for the sake of a good story. I won't use this book or the power it gives me to intentionally endanger my fellow Walkers or anyone else, and if I fail in this, let the pages shrivel and die like my worthless honor."

Nothing happens.

After a few moments he hears someone snigger behind him. "You would have been the first one to activate a gate to the Grand Library without one of these", he says while pulling a small notebook out of his pocket. "and I almost believed you could do it. The name is Pupillam and I think I met this Lemon friend of yours. Come on in, we have to introduce you properly and get you your own Travelogue. As I hear you have some experience in the care of books. I am sure we find a lot of work for you."
