I don't use Adobe Reader as my PDF viewer and I'm not able to edit any fields on the character sheet provided on the provided PDF. Is there an editable form or another character sheet/form I can use to create my character, or do I need to write everything down by hand?

We require people to use that PDF because it keeps everything standardized to at least some scale. You'll probably have to grab Adobe so you can edit it.

Alright. I just wanted to update this. I thought about downloading a PDF program that can edit the fields, but I found an online PDF editor that works out decently: PDFescapeYou can stick the character PDF in here and all the necessary fields become editable.

Well, if it works for you and the pdf saves properly then go ahead and use that.

Save the file to your local machine, and edit the "base" column with adobe reader.

Think he's trying to have the sheet calculate point buy which it doesn't do. d20pfsrd.com's ability scores page has a point buy calculator on it. That's the one I use to audit your sheet for approval so if you use that one you shouldn't have any problems

Well, i opened it in adobe and then changed my base based of the point calculator and then added the race mods in the "inherent" column. But it doesn't change the total at all and it says i still have -5 to all my abilities. help!

You need to use adobe reader, preferably the most updated version, and you have to open it in reader and not your browser. If you open the sheet in your browser it does all sorts of weird things. Your racial mods should be part of your base stats, inherent is a type of modifier you gain at later levels

Thats what i did, i opened it with adobe reader on my computer and it won't change after i set my base stats. i have a -5 on everything because the total won't change. is that something you guys do to the sheet after I submit it?

No the sheet auto calculates. Here's how your sheet should look assuming you had a stat line of 14 14 14 14 10 10. If you're not getting that let me know what version of adobe reader you're using, you may need to redownload the sheet if the automation on your copy is broken. Attachments:
