Hey all. I've been playing table tops for a little over a year now. I've mostly been playing D&D 3.5e, DMing two (relatively) short campaigns during that time. The transition to pathfinder has been pretty simple so far, and I've noticed everyone seems to want more GMs. Since Dragon's Gate sessions are typically single run adventures, I think I'd be able to pretty easily get into the groove of making short and simple quests.
As far as the way I dm, I typically figure out an environment and storyboard for the party to follow first before populating it with potential encounters. I usually have more combat than role play, usually leaving the role play between the players rather than NPCs. I try not to railroad too hard, just enough to ensure the party doesn't begin walking to another continent rather than going to a forest to kill wolves. My biggest weakness would be NPC interactions, as all the time in the world couldn't prepare me for the unexpected player dialogue.
Obviously having only played for a year I'm still new, but I'd like to attempt it.
