Name is Jay, I am 33 year old, a Veteran of the Iraq War, System/Network Administrator working for the DoD. I currently live in Colorado with my wife, two children, and three dogs. I've been playing Pathfinder and other variants for the last 15 or so years whether it be DnD3.5/PF, Shadowrun or some home brew from back in the late 90s AOL days. I've always been a player and helped with management and operations for most of the homebrew crews I've played with. I also help manage and run a gaming community for online games (www.bellumaeternus.net) as one of the senior officers and members. Also, I usually take off and go LARPing once a month in a high fantasy medieval setting with Alliance LARP Denver chapter. I manage the monster desk and help the plot team develop and manage the NPC staff with monster stating and character interaction and developing. So I am a little well rounded and am finally looking to build up my GMing tabletop skills.
Strengths:
I'm willing to learn, and I learn fast.
Experienced with different type of genres, settings, culture
Willing to work with players and teach and develop intent of characters or outlook
Organized and able to develop spider chart of actions taken on the fly
Weakness:
Very limited amount of knowledge on the complex rules (used to focused on having fun)
Have a family so mid-week antics would be planned
Still need to pool my notes on all the DG world info
Style:
Puzzles, Hack and Slash, and Detective work. If you want something, you are going to have to work for it a little. Open ended to a point if I've thought about a path, I leave that available for players to explore and have fun with.
