No, I am not insulting it, I am just pointing out that, in many ways, we're indirectly missing a large amount of people by ignoring the possibilities of having people who do not like to talk, do not posses mics, or simply have a phobia of face-to-face interaction. I would like to request the occasional IRC/D20 sessions, to allow for a wider audience.

DragonsGate's biggest hook is the fact that a person can join a live session without needing to wait on other peoples' schedules. Text based games generally don't need that to begin with.

I'm certainly not opposed, but I personally find it dull and tiresome to run sessions where text is the only interaction. Combat especially takes a long time to resolve.
While I won't stop GMs from running text only sessions, I won't be running any myself. If a GM wants to run one and all the players agree to it, I will not stop them from doing so.
