So, after thinking and complaining loud about what to play, I am now at a point where I either win it or lose it all. I need the ruling of the GMs on this site for a specific combination of spells.
Spines and Brambles (Su) With a beckoning gesture, the shaman conjures spiny shrubs in a number of squares equal to her Wisdom modifier (minimum 1) within 30 feet. The squares become filled with light undergrowth. The shaman can pass through the affected squares without impediment. When the shaman uses this hex again, any previously conjured undergrowth withers away.
First of all these shurbs don't say they have thorns or not, so I may assume I could create thorned shrubs, how about you?
Now, what happens if I cast plant growth on this?
Overgrowth: This effect causes normal vegetation (grasses, briars, bushes, creepers, thistles, trees, vines, and so on) within long range (400 feet + 40 feet per caster level) to become thick and overgrown. The plants entwine to form a thicket or jungle that creatures must hack or force a way through. Speed drops to 5 feet, or 10 feet for Large or larger creatures. The area must have brush and trees in it for this spell to take effect. If this spell is cast on an area that is already affected by any spell or effect that enhances plants, such as entangle or wall of thorns, any DC involved with these spells is increased by 4. This bonus is granted for 1 day after the casting of plant growth.
At your option, the area can be a 100-foot-radius circle, a 150-foot-radius semicircle, or a 200-foot-radius quarter circle.
You may designate places within the area that are not affected.
I am a bit confused about this spells wording. Do I need an amount of plantlife equal to the stated area of effect, (100-foot-radius circle, a 150-foot-radius semicircle, or a 200-foot-radius quarter circle) or do i simply need enough plants in the area wished to be affect for this to work and the plants the grow up in size and thickness to cause the normal effect? If i have formerly created thorned shrubs, would those thorns also grow in size then giving some extra effect (even thou not stated)?
and last but not least, Wood shape
Wood shape enables you to form one existing piece of wood into any shape that suits your purpose. While it is possible to make crude coffers, doors, and so forth, fine detail isn't possible. There is a 30% chance that any shape that includes moving parts simply doesn't work.
Now lets say I create a bush via spine&brambles, could i cast wood shape onto that bush to transform it into a spirale as in in. Ready action, if an opponent steps into a bush created by spines&shambles and is in range, i cast wood shape to grow the bush out in a spiral patter upwards to entwine the enemy inbetween. Or grow it into a box to capture him inside. Also, could i possibly grow thorns on plants with this spell?
and at last, could with a combination of all three of these spells be a weaker Wall of Thorn like effect be created?
I know this is pretty cheesy. But as each of these spells gives pretty limited information, as in ho fast plants grow etc. and leaves a lot to GM interpretation i wanted to ask anyways.
