There's been quite a few new spells added since Permanency was introduced, yet the table has never changed. I request that other spells get added to this list, but each must be approved by a majority of whatever group makes decisions for DG.
A page on the wiki or a spreadsheet could be designed to list the spells along with its price/minimum caster level. Since it seems to be nothing more than 2500 gold per spell level and spell level +8 for the minimum, it's pretty easy to gauge if getting that spell permanently is fair for its price. There are some exceptions in the core spell list, but even in those cases, it never exceeds 2500.
This isn't directly asking for any one spell, only for the option to vote spells in. In fact, I'm adding a poll to see if the opinion is for or against it.

Since permanent spells are very close to cheap magic items, I don't think this is a good idea. It's already a fairly useful spell and I see no reason to expand it's functionality.

There's been a ton of spells added since the core rulebook, and many of them have been niche additions that simply aren't ever used because the effect isn't worth the slot/action taken.
What's more, perhaps this would be a good time to discuss how Permanency should be dealt with. Should it be a cheap effect that's easy to lose, or should it be made into a harder-to-remove effect that costs far more? Would it be balanced to quadruple the price of Permanency effects (10,000 gold per spell level), but make it to dispel/greater dispel only suppresses its effects, rather than purges entirely?
I believe the pricing currently is in this middle-area and makes it unfun to both purchase and have dispelled. If it was the value of 2-4 potions of it, then they'd probably be fine with losing it to a dispel. If Permanency were buffed to not get dispelled as easily, then I'm sure people would actually consider buying Permanencied effects, even if they had to pay through the nose for it.
Of course, this does not change the original suggestion: allow the discussion and consequent voting of spells into Permanency.

Permanency seems like a good way to do a lot of things
What it actually does is allow casters to be fully buffed 24/7 and have all spell slots devoted to combat

I can think of a few for GM/Plot reasons but they would for balance sake be unreasonable for a PC to obtain for one reason or another.
What did you have in mind?
