For reference, Slashing Grace states 'Choose one kind of one-handed slashing weapon". A Kukri is a light weapon, but it states in the 'light weapon' definition that a light weapon is used in one-hand. Am I overthinking this, and is it perfectly fine to use a Kukri, or will I need a larger weapon for slashing grace? My second question feeds off of the first, "When wielding your chosen weapon one-handed, you can treat it as a one-handed piercing melee weapon for all feats and class abilities that require such a weapon (such as a swashbuckler's or a duelist's precise strike) and you can add your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier to that weapon's damage." With it saying you CAN treat it as a piercing weapon for feats and add your dexterity modifier to damage, does that mean you can only get the +dex to damage while doing so?

By RAW you cannot use the Kukri, one handed is a game term.
There is the possibility that you could use the kukri if you took martial versatility with another weapon in its weapon group however its a toss up whether DG would allow that.

Light Weapon and One-Handed are separate weapon categories, so no.
You do not have to use it as a piercing weapon to get dex to damage. It only counts as a piercing weapon for the purposes of feats and class features.
Very few weapons are compatible with both these feats out of the box, the dueling sword being the only one I can think of. It's mostly designed for swashbucklers, since a swash can finesse a one handed weapon.

It's weird how it uses longsword as an example...

Long sword is one handed though. Honestly your best bet is taking slashing grace for the sawtooth saber then martial versatility to apply slashing grace to the whole weapon group. Really I don't recommend that option because your spending more than even more feats than you already were to make slashing grace work on weapons that are only really ok anyways. Also I have heard arguments about using martial versatility that way for dervish dance and I imagine there could be similar issues with this.

It's weird how it uses longsword as an example... Yes, a swashbuckler with slashing grace would have dex to hit and damage with a longsword. As I mentioned above, the feat was designed specifically for them.
