A portal opened up south of Rook. The man who's land it was on took exception to that and so he hired a group to go in and close it. Upon reaching the portal, the group learned that the portal lead to multiple different locations. Deciding to enter in to a less hazardous location, an ice covered area, the group was immediately met with a choice; assist a fire elemental in killing an ice elemental. or vice versa. They decided to help the ice elemental seeing as they were in a very icy area, and it was soon shown that the fire elementals were invading ice elemental territory. The nature of the invasion was still unknown, but the adventurers were still more then happy to assist.
Right down the passage a rather large battle has broken out. Ice and Fire elementals were in combat with each other, the fight quickly turning in the ice elementals favor with the presence of reinforcements. The room cleared of fire elementals, the group then continued down the path where they met a token resistance. In the final room of the cavern there was a portal, guarding this portal was a large fire elemental. Combat began in haste, with Ashmok taking a nearly fatal blow, but once again the adventurers were victorious.
The threat removed, the ice elementals re-secured the cavern and removed a block that they had thrown to prevent the fire elementals from entering yet another room. Inside of that room, the group met with a rather icy looking Undine, who was then swept up in enlightening conversation with Faelyn. Upon finishing their conversation, introducing herself as Procella, and being hit on by Ashmok, she then sent the group on their way back through the portal to an uncertain future of further meetings.
