-Character Name: Almyra Rowley
-Character & Description: Almyra is a young human woman of somewhat slender build. Her dark brown hair is cut somewhat short, barely reaching past the top of her neck. Her nose is noticeably pointed, and is mildly long. Her blue eyes sparkle with intelligence and curiosity. Her skin is pale from countless hours spent studying deep in libraries and attending lectures, however she has spent some time outdoors working on paintings and searching for inspiration for poetry. She dresses in the robes of a student from Rook University, but adds a flair of individuality in the form of her green cloak. Her hands are often stained with ink from taking notes, writing letters, and transcribing passages from books. She is somewhat naive, but kind, charismatic, and intelligent.
-Background Information: Almyra was born to a couple of middle-class merchants in Rook. She has lived most of her life in the city, and has always been fascinated by tales of far-off lands and exotic cultures she was told by traders and caravan guards her father dealt with. From a young age she showed an aptitude for linguistics, quickly picking up the Elven language. However, her passion for knowledge is not limited to linguistics, and she strives to learn as much as she can about everything, particularly art, history, and culture. Having an elder brother to assume the mantle of the family business and her father's heir, Almyra decided to take the path of the scholar and scribe, becoming a student at Rook University.
She picked up Dwarven and Terran during her studies, and she has learned much from the professors and other faculty members of the University, but now she desires a more direct experience with what she has learned of the lands outside of Rook. She has made up her mind to adventure outside the city-state in hopes of making some great discovery in archaeology, anthropology, or other subject. She desires to chase the legends of the world and find out the truth, to reveal the beauty in other cultures both alive and long dead.
