He bears strange markings on his arms, which glow when the power of his ancestors are channeled. Despite his stony demeanor, he is friendly, willing to work with just about anyone, and always willing to assist those in need. He has a pet fox named Ro. He is an onmyouji, trained in the art of divination with assistance from the spirits of his ancestors.

About:

Having finally come of age, Nanbu Iyu, of the Iyu clan, has been ordered by the patriarch of the family, his grandfather Musou Iyu, to go his rite of passage. The clan of warrior priests mandate that each who come of age must complete a task that benefits the clan. For Nanbu's rite, he has been ordered to acquire enough gold to renovate the Iyu shrine, a daunting task considering how expensive the renovations have been estimated at. Still, it is a task that he must complete, for Nanbu cannot return to his home in Cadis until he has earned the coin.

So Nanbu finds himself on the ports of Rook, disembarked from the boat that brought him here, and with nothing more than his clothes, a weapon, and Ro, Nanbu begins his adventure. Faith in his ancestors will surely assist Nanbu on his journey.

Other:
So I'm not exactly sure where eastern characters fit in the setting. I did ask some questions on IRC but was only given the general idea that Tog Nar is more or less the only "eastern" nation, and even then is based on the Mongols. So for now, I've simply chosen Cadis, but am ready to change that if it doesn't fit the world.
Also, I hope that flavoring an Oracle as an onmyouji is ok.
