Character Name: Stavros Vettias
Character & Description: Stavros’ brown, wavy and curly medium length hair is just long enough to flow out from his steel helmet. Lifting the visor reveals friendly brown eyes. At 6’3” with a firm build, he stands taller than most other men and may come across as intimidating. However, he also has a soft touch that comforts those in need of his aid.
His horse Vronti was gifted to him from his father for his acceptance into the Order of the Shield. A muscled black body that led into a tan underbelly and legs, Vronti is a powerful stallion. Stavros has bonded closely with his mount companion and together they have made a fearsome pair that has just begun to make their names known within the Order.
Background Information: Raised on a farm just off the major trade route between Rook and Sirisea, Stavros grew up with his parents and younger sister, Astera. As he grew up, he worked with many of the animals and also learned to be somewhat self-sufficient when he would venture off for long hikes. This would be to the ire of his parents who would be upset with him, not knowing if he would return or not.
During one of his ventures, he bravely assisted a merchant and his escort. The escort turned out to be Julian Meggro. Julian was a member of the Order of the Shield and recognized the courage Stavros displayed. After a recommendation and lengthy training regimens, the Order’s trainers deemed him fit for service. In the Order of the Shield, he swore to protect the lives and prosperity of the common folk, shielding them from the deprivations of those who would seek to cause them harm or exploit them. From his modest upbringing, he knew immediately he would have made the right decision.
Stavros’ acceptance into the Order would begin his legacy.
After some years, his sister would marry a slime of a man, Leon Le’Blanc. Much to the family’s dismay, he is completely focused on persuading Astera’s parents to sign over the rights to the farm so he can sell it. Stavros would like nothing to do with him but holds hope for his sister.
Stavros has been working entry level contract jobs for the Order of the Shield, splitting his earnings between himself and sending it home to help support his parents.
