Character Name: Nanain
Character & Description:
Very plain for a Gnome, Nanain has a fair complexion with dark brown hair. She stands 3'3" in height and weighs just 32 pounds. She prefers simple clothes without ornamentation or flair; her clothes are of natural fabrics dyed various brown hues. She doesn't like wearing armor, but recognizes the need for protection. A set of Lamellar was given to her when she set out on her journey, and she wears it under her coat. Nanain's hair is cut short and parted a little off-center, with short bangs to avoid getting hair in her eyes.
Background Information:
Nanain was abandoned by her parents at a very young age. After living on the streets for some time, scraping by an existence despite her small stature, she was taken in by a temple devoted to the worship of Desna. She has spent most of her life in the temple, until a traumatic incident changed everything, and her sisters evicted her. Throughout her life, Nanain had suffered from terrible nightmares. Images of terrible places and impossible monsters haunted her sleep, and she sought solace in the teachings of her temple. One morning, she awoke to a grisly scene in her room. One of her sisters had apparently gutted herself with a dagger in the night - smearing obscene arcane symbols on the walls with her own blood. After the incident, Nanain was evicted from the temple, though her sisters provided her with some basic adventuring gear before she set off. Trying to make the best of a bad situation, Nanain decided to follow the teachings of Desna on her own; she would wander the land and try to understand this fell power she had been cursed with. Her travels have taken her to the City of Rook, where she is staying at an inn and looking for a new means to support herself.
