Thread Title: Name| Race | Class Character Name: Marcus Aur Character & Description: Marcus is a man of medium height with a lean runner's build. His hair is a nondescript brown cut in a short utilitarian fashion to stay clear of a pair of grey eyes. What do you look like, how do you dress, etc. Marcus favors light functional clothing, forgoing colors or cuts that would draw the eye but he is never far from old well cared for sword on his hip. Background Information: Marcus was raised on the frontier of Vollande. Raised by his father, he had been trained since he could walk to wield a blade the way the men in his family had for years without count. Years of intense training did not pair well with stalemate with the Orcish nations and on his 20th birthday he was gifted with his grandfather's sword and sent off to finish mastering his trade in the world. Who is your character? Why is she arriving in Rook, or if you live there, what do you do? What are your characters life goals? Marcus recently road into town with a caravan from the west. With an eye to new challenges.

As far as I can tell Heirloom Weapon only makes you proficient with that specific weapon. You'd need to take EWP(Dueling Sword) separately to be proficient with all dueling swords and qualify for weapon focus.

As far as I can tell Heirloom Weapon only makes you proficient with that specific weapon. You'd need to take EWP(Dueling Sword) separately to be proficient with all dueling swords and qualify for weapon focus. That seems like an odd interpretation. The trait grants exotic weapon proficiency which applies to an entire type of weapon and nothing in the trait suggests it overwrites the normal wording for exotic weapon proficiency. By that logic a fighter is only ever proficient in one specific instance of all simple and martial weapons and would need to spend a feat every time they got a new sword. Edit: You know that one only applies to simple or martial weapons anyway missed that. I'll move things around when I get home and reupload it

It was in a FAQ Tkul, what you are stating used to be the case but they nerfed it.

Uploaded a correct character sheet. Swapped out Heirloom weapon for imperial solder adding Heal as a class skill. Dropped weapon focus for EWP and moved a couple of skill points around.

Looks good now Tkul. And love the pic. Too bad heirloom weapon didn't work out as the pic in the sword kind of looks like an heirloom . Congratulations on your first Dragons Gate character! Check your PMs for more next steps.
