Solomon - 600gp + 10% off mithral item purchase for 1 yr (3 months real time)
Special - Solomon also has a stone rubbing of half a stone template with writing in an unknown language.
With the Rook military being pulled in far too many directions, and a sizable force needed along the northern edge of the farmstead district, the mithral mine contracted by the Hammer and Anvil guild has been left unguarded. Bandits had invaded and Dorn, the guild master of the Hammer and Anvil has hired the adventurers to re-secure the mine and discover why bandits would target such an unlikely mark.
Sure enough the party found bandits. After a failed attempt at negotiation the party cleaned up first one, then two groups of the thugs. In the process they learned that some sort of demon cult had led them here and that there had been a falling out as the bandits felt the cult was a bit too over the top in there eeevilness. It seems there was a stone tablet that came from this mine that had broken off during excavation. The cultists had it, and sought the remaining piece.
Proceeding deeper into the mine the group found said cultists and while the party was brought low it wasn't long until they prevailed. Sure enough, still embedded in the rock wall was a second part of the stone tablet. A quick survey and the party found they were unable to make anything of the language and weren't even able to deduce its basic intent. Solomon, decided to remove the remaining piece and return it to Dorn but asked for a rubbing of the writing. Dorn agreed and the party was paid.
Even the goblin, originally denied payment, was given a lump sum of gold for his participation. Dorn, however, refused the beast any discount for such would lead to further association.
