Player Loot:
Fin Ryder: 2500gp
Thaedius Garhn: 2500gp
Deverdon: 2500gp
Kite Windstrong: 2500gp
Hector Lefarum: 2500gp
Characters in this session are locked out from playing in sessions till November 12th.
After having spent several months having the merchant caravan set up, Fin was badgered by merchants enough to get the whole deal rolling. Finding friends, acquaintances and allies in the Plow, he assembled a motley band of capable people and went to pick up the elf ettercap Alizabeth Jhaeldra and her three children. Under cover of cloaks, masks and a cart with a tarp, the group rejoined the trade caravan and set off once everyone had ample supplies to last them the month-long round trip.
Such fascinations encountered on the road there and back included -
Rogues.
Bandits.
Bandit Rogues.
Blink Wolves.
A troll.
A big spider.
Even more big spiders.
Shadows led by a distant and watching presence.
Each altercation was generally beaten down and curb stomped, though the spiders posed some challenge as those bitten grew significantly weaker. Thanks to sedate days traveling on the caravan however most was recovered in fairly prompt fashion. Once in Oriar the trade expedition eventually came across the halfling settlement they were looking for, Smallhaven. Ploatus, who had travelled along with the caravan, introduced deverdon to some associates who effectively drugged him when he tested their products. This worked remarkably well for Deverdon, who upon awakening saw Fin and the two had a passionate encounter that in itself was an experience, but not actually worth any.
Introducing the ettercap Alizabeth to the Drow contingent underground nearby generally went without a hitch as thankfully Alizabeth had been raised with manners, was quite polite and endearing, and the Drow in charge was an understanding sort (which was why he was in charge) and so a home was secured for her and her progeny, though schooling would probably be a bit of an issue for at least the beginning of their new lives.
The group headed back largely uneventfully, though a pair of shadows caused Fin to fall and start to turn, narrowly being saved by a hastily applied salve which left him in the limbo of choice, but alive. Everyone else returned largely unaffected, and everyone was happily paid a significant amount for their busy month of defying death and protecting monetary investments.
