Miraculously the group of adventurers defied fate, not actually meeting in the plow this time. The group was hired to defend a merchant's boat from pirates, as apparently they've become a thing recently. The party cast off on their ship, Got Booty? Or they were going to, until an ice sorcerer literally lept out from the sea and narrowly avoided landing on a bear trap set down to defend this very possibility. After about an hour of sailing, a mysterious fog began to come up over the horizon, but before the group had time to question that they were attacked by a less than merry band of pirates. They would have been slightly merry, but they were too busy being turned into mist by Capitalist, who recently grew wings. After promptly taking out the pirates, the group looted their ships and continued on to their destination.
They had a meager meal on the front deck as the fog began to engulf the ship. Miere heard some voices in his head, but that's normal for him, so this went unnoticed by the rest of the party who seemed to be unaffected. About halfway through their journey, an object appeared in the distance. Capitalist went to check it out, and learned it was some sort of ship with a dome on it, and telepathically relayed this to the rest of the party. Hearing that the ship was headed straight towards theirs, the captain noted to the rest of the party that current wasn't headed in their direction. This was somewhat troublesome considering there was no crew on this other ship, nor did it have any sales. But ah well, nothing brute force can't solve! Capitalist tears open a hole in the wooden dome on the ship, revealing a skeleton sitting on a throne, resting his hands on two levers to either side of his grand chair. Miere searched his vast array of undead knowledge to recall that this ship seemed to be a bone skiff. A living ship that could be controlled by a single creature, moving with its 12 zombie arms. Capitalist proceeded to smash apart the driver, but not before the bone skiff rammed into the merchant's ship.
The bone skiff would then raise its massive skull out of the sea, vomiting forth a much denser fog than they already faced. From within this fog came more undead, which began attacking the party from all sides. Capitalist, now understanding, or at least pretending to understand the nature of the beast, began attacking it from within the dome. The bone skiff began sweeping its 12 hands across the board, smashing into some of the party while they already had foes around their size to deal with. Now under attack by enemies they could not know the number of, both Miere and Rainen vanished from sight, leaving both Hector and Zaji to fend for themselves in the fog, surrounded by the enemy, while a gargantuan skeletal beast attempted to kill them. At least Zaji also had a way to get out since they were now both being flanked and exclusively being targeted by 12 zombie arms. Poor Hector. Eventually Capitalist would finish the bone skiff, having its skull literally pop off onto the deck of the Got Booty? This strengthened the testicular fortitude of the party, as they graciously helped Hector out of the jaws of the wolves they just threw him to.
With pirates of both the living and undead variety taken care of, the fog began clearing up as well. The party relatively quietly got back to Rook, where they received their payments. Rainen decided to use four magical floating discs to carry the gargantuan skull throughout Rook. After harassing Big Duad about it, Rainen eventually got him to agree to have the skull placed by the tavern. Surely this won't have consequences.
