Background Information:
from the beginning jack could see that all power, all wealth, and all life could be chained back to two oridgonal sorces, The Earth and the Sea. fortunately to jack the earth was much much closer. learning this lead to his attraction to the earth and everything that can be made from it. dirt could be moved and used for endless purposes, ore lead to near unbreakable tools and armor, gems the shining centers of a kings crown and authority, and even stone could be carved into cities that would last as long as elves and stone itself! Life and death revolved around taking and giving to the ground ever cycling.
It was his facination and desire to shape this primal power into his own that led him to becoming socially rejected from his village. eventually reaching the point that he would leave taking his interests and his craft with him. from there jack would spend many years of his life wandering place to place, valley to valley, mountain to mountain, and town to town. practicing his crafts of metal shaping and mining wherever he could. sometimes even supporting himself by exploring mountains for Geodes to crack open for common gems to live on.
The drifter that he was he tended to encounter many hostilities along the roads ranging from bandits to beasts. he loved the opportunity try out various creations he had made in his free time to see how he could use them better or even craft them better. to him killing those who came after him was just speeding up the circle of life and returning their bodies to the earth to eventually be used again by some other creature.
Yet again jack would find himself approaching another town on the horizon for him to deal his skills and crafts to others, but things were getting so repetitive now going town to town and only scraping by. maybe...just maybe...It was time to change up his rhythm a little and find other ways to improve his standing in the world. After all...he had what seemed like an eternity to do so.
