Player Loot:
Sebastian Arcus: Dead.
Airdan Aqillian: 1700gp.
Zeza: 1700gp.
Vincent: 1700gp.
Hired yet again, adventurers went to do more specific research on the biggest goblin tribe to the south - the Redclaws, led by an ex-military orc called Redclaw. Deciding asking the goblins in Rook was a good idea, several of the group were caught in rambling conversations that did eventually lead to information, such as 6 main camps of about 50 goblins per and the leader rotating between them. The rest of the group, asking guards and checking books, found similar facts. Combining their resources gave the group a good starting foundation, so south they went. They knew that most goblins fought out of fear of reprisal from the leader, and they would generally gladly move to Rook - this is how Rook's goblin population started after all. This time, prepared for ambushes, Airdan prepared an alarm spell each time the group rested for the night. Sure enough it was set off one night as Airdan was on watch, and when he spotted the very small figure in the night he immediately killed it with a powerful snowball.
Warning the others and waking them up immediately, Airdan called for everyone to hide behind trees to avoid the arrows. However there were no arrows at all. After a few moments they went to check and found the dead interloper was in fact a small goblin child, of the goblin equivalent of six years old, who was clearly malnourished and covered in the scrapes of traveling the wilderness for several days. Realising that Airdan had killed an innocent, starving and escapee goblin child, the group were at a slight loss of what to do and somewhat horrified at the outcome. It wasn't long before they realised the goblin mother was in fact nearby in the bushes in a state of shock at watching her most belowed child being frozen to death mere feet in front of her. To calm her, Vincent enthralled her to view her child's killers as her friends and reassured her everything would be fine. After a few choice nuggets of knowledge, Airdan retired from the quest due to second guessing himself and returned to Rook with Vincent, the mother and the very dead goblin child. Purchasing a salve, they revived the child and placed them in the care of the temple of Desna.
Sebastian and Zeza, determined to kill the orc, headed south to the encampment and buffed up immensely. Challenging Redclaw to a duel, Sebastian soon found himself outclassed then swiftly beaten in to the ground. Zeza stepped up to take his place but unfortunately violated the Sebastian-placed rule of 'no external help' by drinking a potion, and after mauling the orc was fired upon by the whole tribe. Decided that retreating was the best course of action, Zeza rapidly ran back to Rook. This left Sebastian unconscious and behind, so he was summarily ripped apart and eaten by the very, very hungry goblins.
