Character & Description Dirk is an enormous dwarf. Short, wide, and stocky – first impressions of Dirk range from "miniature mountain" to "beached whale." Dirty and unkept, Dirk's belly hangs far below his dirty scale mail, flecked with remnants of past meals. It's clear that Dirk loves eating more than a fat kid loves cake. At first glance, one can't help but wonder how Dirk can possibly hide his girth behind his tower shield... Background Information Dirk life has always revolved around crafting the sharpest, sturdiest, and most exotic weapon. He used to run his smithy out of his clan hall, but time and time again, his customers would return with his creations. Often bruised and battered, those clients would throw down pieces of Dirk’s creations, demanding a refund. Upset at his customers for “using his weapons wrong,” Dirk would get in violent arguments with his former patrons, leading to violent confrontations and a surprising amount of destruction, often ending with the upset perpetrator limping out. Eventually, Dirk’s infamy became associated with the name of his clan. No longer tolerant of Dirk’s subpar work and ill association, Dirk’s clan forced him out. With his home, forge and clan name taken from him, Dirk’s dream was shattered. No longer can his pursuit for the perfect weapon continue. Dirk began to consume food and drink like a drug, turning into a disguising behemoth. His stomach now protrudes far over his belt, with remnants of past meals caked his person. Dirk reeks from alcohol and sweat from days unwashed. To smell his breath is death. Yet still, Dirk holds the firm belief that his clients were wrong. His weapons are not dysfunctional, the clients themselves are -- and Dirk will prove it! One day, he will become the best weapon smith the world has ever seen, and the denizens of Rook will be there to witness every step! ...But first, those weapons need to be tested, and Dirk is not a fan of being hit.

Foul Belch is a Goblin trait. I think your FC bonus is in HP, but you should write it down on the sheet somewhere. Something like Fighter(HP) in the favored class area near the top should do fine. A tower shield causes a -2 penalty to attack rolls. Remember to factor that in to your to hit.

As another note, you are well over your allotted starting gold for gear. You may want to re-calculate that and remove things that you can not afford. I will advise you that nothing is considered free gear. You have 175 to spend as that is the Fighters Average Starting Wealth.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I made the changes to favored class, it looks like -- Fighter (HP). Changed out the Goblin trait (I didn't know, I swear, would've fit the theme of fat dwarf well). I added my attack bonus when wielding tower shields in parenthesis. At 5th level (hopefully I'll live long enough), Tower Shield Specialist negates that penalty, just for a heads up. Going onto gold expenditure, here is a breakdown of my costs: i.imgur.com/KK5hT7J.png

No worries, just gotta make sure everything is sorted out before I approve the character. Your gear looks fine to me, but I'll wait for Nos to get back to us in case I(we?) missed something. Everything else seems to be in order.

Thanks. I accidentally forgot to take out the small tent, and I incorrectly assumed the price of Whiskey was 1gp.
On another note, d20pfsrd says that one unit of Ale is 8 lbs, is that correct? If so.... how long will that Ale last for?

I think it's supposed to be a small keg.
Based on some of our characters drinking habits, 8lbs of ale would last for about 30 seconds.
Jokes aside, we're usually not going to track cost/consumption of incidentals unless it's something that might affect your survival. Rations on a long trip yes, copper you paid the barkeep for cheap booze probably not.

Cool, sounds good. I guess there's no harm at lugging around a small barrel of ale. Worst case, we can use it for diplomacy, cause everybody likes ale!
