Today brought with it an adventure deep into the forest on the request of none other then Medraut. Once they received the details of their mission, the group entered the inner quiet, and immediately found themselves thrown into battle. At first, it was two emaciated beings of questionable living status, but the group quickly learned a third and far more powerful enemy was hiding behind them. This enemy was quickly beaten down, and it retreated with a few taunting words. The group quickly followed and found themselves locked in combat once more, this time with a trio of very pretty elf men harpists serving as a sort of barrier between the party and the creature that had run away.
This of course was a ploy, as they were not simple elfmen, and more like sirens. They too were beaten down, and the cycle continued, with the creature running away to hide behind another wall.
The next enemies were a trio of elf creatures with fox tails, but that facade was quickly broken as one of them cursed Sidious, Lanward's eidolon, and struck it with her tail, causing him to grow painfully ugly. The three creatures were destroyed like the others, and the group continued on.
The last one to be used as a shield played a far more direct way of being a shield. The group discovered this lone girl to be a lampad, a sort of emo nymph, and the creature from the previous three fights threatened to slay the girl if the group approached. Sidious, having no time for that crap, approached the beast and dealt it a powerful blow. The Lampad was not slain, as was threatened, and the battle continued in earnest. In a rush of heroics, K'rikka bullrushed the Lampad out of the grasp of the creature, toppling to the ground with her a few feet away from it. After that, the group was able to deal enough damage to have it run away once more. In the final leg of the path, the group came upon an alter that held the air sphere, and it was in this location that the beast introduced himself and engaged in telepathic conversation with the group. Words were exchanged, information was shared, and the orb was recovered and Arduina was spoken to. Eventually, the group left to the outer section of the forest where they spoke with Medraut. At the conclusion of the conversation, the group was given bags of gemstones, and K'rikka remained behind to spend the day with Medraut, with plans to return time and time again as they searched for the body of Arduina.
